CNC cut strips of 5mm and 8mm Design Felt create colorful space dividers in the Boston headquarters of Satcon Technology Corporation. This 44,000 square foot LEED® certified project balances existing industrial qualities with a modern design aesthetic based on openness and transparency. These space dividers are created using vertically oriented strips of felt. With three inch (7.6 centimeter) grommets at top and bottom, they are hung taut between two rods and can slide to create more or less transparency. The stripe pattern of bright felt colors is echoed in the seating upholstery and contrasts the overall finish palette of dark greys and whites.
