Interior Design, Nov 2013
Since employees of Cisco and Meraki, a WiFi-development company acquired in 2012, have no permanent desks, Studio O+A needed to provide a variety of flexible (and comfortable) work areas throughout the 110,000 sf of space. Their solution? Communal work and gathering spaces provided alongside dense neighborhoods of benching systems. At the loungy work areas, 5mm Design Felt in 200 Natur is installed as felt panels delineating the spaces with soft, sound absorption. Elsewhere, a series of yurt-inspired break out areas are made from Douglas fir supports and incorporate the same hue of 5mm felt.
